Research Analyst

We are seeking research analysts to support a mission-critical research project to gather information about the waste management systems of cities and counties in the United States. The analyst will work directly with the firm's Senior Management Team and Director of Information Technology to perform this research and capture improvement to the online research database. The analyst will get exposure to environmental issues, local government affairs, contracting, economic analysis, cloud data management and market analysis. The successful applicant will be inquisitive, detail oriented and an effective verbal and written communicator. Experience working with Excel spreadsheets a plus (but not required).

This is a part-time position which could parlay into a UCF internship, if so desired. The position has the potential to evolve into a full-time position for an imaginative, diligent and results-focused individual. The expected level of effort to start is 8 to 16 hours per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays at $12/hr. Daily work hours are flexible to accommodate intern academic schedules.

Description: The Intern will be responsible for assisting on research, spreadsheet development, data entry, and other tasks as assigned.

Travel: Not expected.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completed 2 or more years of undergraduate studies in an environmental science, biology, economics, business administration, engineering, statistics, or related field
  • Exposure to spreadsheets or databases to analyze data sets
  • Exposure to Microsoft Office
