March 16, 2022

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ORLANDO, FL — March 16, 2022 — MSW Consultants announced today the hire of Veronica Roof as a Project Director. Veronica joined the MSW team in February 2022 and brings nearly two decades of industry experience assisting governmental agencies and institutions nationwide with setting and achieving their solid waste management and resource recovery objectives. Drawing from her business and legal training, Veronica has worked with clients to solve challenging planning, financial, and procurement issues related to solid waste management in their communities. Veronica's experience includes residential and commercial municipal solid waste, recyclables, yard trimmings, pre- and post-consumer organics, construction demolition debris, and more. Veronica has extensive experience leading procurement projects and securing competitive solid waste and recycling services for local governments. Veronica is also a leading authority on litter, including the scope, scale, causes, and impacts of litter. Recently, Veronica served as Project Manager on the Keep America Beautiful 2020 National Litter Study.

Company Vice President John Culbertson commented "The waste and recycling industry continues to evolve at a rapid pace. Waste generators from individual businesses up to the largest cities need increasingly specialized expertise to contend with the changing local, regional, and global markets that impact sustainable materials management. For many years we have been building a practice that encourages dedicated professionals to bring expert advisory services to an increasing client base to optimize their systems, programs, and sustainability practices. With a deep understanding of the factors that are important to our clients, Veronica is a natural fit and will immediately supplement and expand our capabilities in this increasingly complex industry space."

Veronica is a licensed attorney and a member of the Environmental Law and Local Government Section of the State Bar of Georgia. She currently serves as a member of the Solid Waste Committee for the American Public Works Association and Past President for the Communication, Education Marketing Technical Division of the Solid Waste Association of North America.

Join Veronica at the SWANA SOAR Conference on March 23rd where she is speaking on the Keep America Beautiful 2020 National Litter Study or at the APWA webinar on March 31st for discussion on developing and implementing solid waste and recycling contracts.
