Lauren has devoted her career to improving waste diversion, sustainability, and integrated waste management practices locally and nationally. She has expertly paired that experience with her specialization in project management and communication. Her belief that good communication must be purposeful, clear, concise, and accessible drives her leadership style and enables her to manage a variety of projects with internal teams and hybrid client-contractor teams. With a BA in professional writing, Lauren has researched and developed methodologies to audit and analyze organizational communication based on participatory design principles. Her methods build bridges between organizational knowledge, tacit knowledge, and the knowledge and analysis of subject matter experts. The results allow her to build sophisticated information hierarchies so that audiences can easily approach and comprehend information. Some of these information hierarchies have been employed in marketing and communication plans for residential, municipal and commercial markets. They've also been used to develop public utility information campaigns and websites. Lauren is well versed in solid waste and recycling regulatory compliance, project management, and program design and implementation. She has managed county-wide recycling and special waste programs, including a sixteen-site electronic scrap recycling program as a Recycling Coordinator for York County, Pennsylvania. She also provided solid waste and recycling collection program development and technical assistance to private businesses and 72 York County municipalities.
